Guidelines for Authors

Please note that we are currently not accepting new submissions until Spring 2025. 

To submit your work for consideration, please ask your literary agent to send a query with the following information to LeafStormPress@gmail.com. (We can no longer consider direct inquiries from authors.)

FICTION
• a short, one-page synopsis
• a short description of your target audience
• a list of similar books in the marketplace and why yours is unique
• a brief bio including your writing experience and a list of previously published works, if any
• a description of your author platform (social media accounts, the number of followers, etc.)
• the first chapter or 20 pages

NONFICTION
• a short, one-page synopsis plus an outline of your book
• a short description of your target audience
• a list of similar books in the marketplace and why yours is unique
• a brief bio including your writing background, expertise in your subject matter and a list of previously published works, if any
• a description of your author platform (social media accounts, the number of followers, etc.)
• the first chapter of your book

Please note that all work submitted for our consideration should be completed, copyedited and proofread. We are not currently publishing poetry, memoirs or genre fiction.

Agents: please do not send or email entire manuscripts. If we are interested in your client’s work after receiving the information listed above, you will hear back from us within 8-10 weeks. Due to the high volume of submissions and limited time available, please understand that we are not able to provide individual feedback or a response to every query. Thank you.
