Susan Syers Stark was born in New Orleans. A graduate of the University of Texas, Austin where she earned a B.A. in English, Susan moved with her husband and children to Dripping Springs, TX in 1976.
In addition to raising a family and running a children’s sports camp with her husband, Susan had a distinguished career as an educator. She was a celebrated and well-loved teacher at Dripping Springs Elementary School, where she taught second and third grade for more than 16 years. Susan is avid reader whose favorite writers are Wallace Stegner, Wendell Berry, David McCullough and the poet Billy Collins. Time Flight is her first book.
